18 holes, 6303 yards. Par 71.
Bovey Castle is a challenging and beautiful 18-hole championship course, designed in 1926 by J F Abercromby, one of the finest British golf course designers of the century.
Designed to rival its sister courses at Gleneagles and Turnberry, this course has been described as an experience of golf never to be forgotten.
The course meanders through the hotel estate, surrounded by idyllic landscape and challenges to meet any handicap.
The front nine winds around the valley at the bottom of this beautiful estate and has the river Bovey intersecting virtually all of its holes. The second nine is on higher, undulating ground and has more of a parkland/moorland feel including a number of blind shots on the closing holes.
Play this course on one of our Devon golf holidays, or on the way home from a golf break in Cornwall.
